I have had the privilege of being on Pastor Fred Uhl’s team for about a year now. He has great leadership chops. The 3 attributes that stand out to me is Pastor Fred’s: fairness, humility & pursuit of excellence. Lemme break it down for you: If the leader is fair–he hears all sides before making a call–so the team knows they’ll be heard & in the name of fairness, the right call made. And when a leader gives the team fairness, the team gives the leader loyalty. In leadership, humility is selfless; its antonym is narcissism which is selfish. To me, there is no leadership attribute more like the greatest leader ever (Jesus) than humility. Lastly, the pursuit of excellence. During our service rehearsal yesterday, Fred walked through every single one of Pastor David’s teaching slides with the tech team. He caught a teenie-weenie graphic that was slightly off-center & had us correct it. I was astounded. It was excellence & it was admirable.
