Unlike my Cuban, who is a fabulous rule-follower, I’m guilty of being rebellious by nature. I don’t intentionally break rules, I just don’t like them. That being said, there ARE five rules I live by–or at least strive to. They are derived from 3 decades of experience–both good and bad. And they are…
- Forgive the person who hurt you.
- Encourage the person who isn’t as good as you.
- Compliment the person who is better than you.
- Love the person who hates you.
- Worship the One who created you.
Excellent!!
Excellent!!
These are great!
Thank you so much for sharing them!

I am so glad I subscribed. You are such an encourager. These are words to live by!!! I love these rules. P.S. I am the rule follower and my husband is the rebel…..I don’t think any wise person would argue with these. Thanks for sharing.

Good one. I try to do this…and at times I fail miserably. But I did think today to “pray for those who despitefully use you”…scripture. And of course, turn the other cheek (means offer up the other cheek for the one who slap the one cheek…to slap the other) This doesn’t necessarily have to refer to a physical action, but it might refer to a word or response from someone.
