I totally totally get it. I get that we, women, have more estrogen, emotion & complexities than guys. I get it because I am a woman. But what I don’t get is why we have to be drama mama’s. I’ve tweeted this before, but, seriously, “trials are inevitable; drama is a choice.” Yes, we have tragedy, illness, PMS, image issues, depression, anxiety, loss, confusion, pain–we have these things and sometimes, many at the same time. But drama doesn’t have to be a part of it. Drama drags out the pain. Drama draws negative attention to ourselves. Drama drains others. Drama is not a good thing. One time I was pulled into a meeting because my superior called me out on my drama. Nobody had ever had the audacity to say that to me before. It totally stirred up my inner-drama! LOL! But I received it, prayed about it and asked God to help me kick it. Proverbs 31 describes one cool chic. One part I really love is, “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” I want that! I want that for all of us! That one day it be said of us that we didn’t dramatize our days but we stood strong & dignified in them!
