wellimagesOne day, I go to Publix to buy a case of bottled water for my family. While I’m there, Jesus literally walks up to me. He shares with me everything I’ve ever done. In detail–that only my secrets knew–He makes known. In this amazing moment, I ask this Jesus to join me in my life. He does. And years of baggage, burden, guilt and sin are lifted. I am so excited about this NEW me that I don’t wait for Jesus to tell me to go tell others. I drop my case of water and take off. And as soon as I get back to my neighborhood in Coral Springs, I share this amazing Jesus with my neighbor, I tweet this amazing Jesus on Twitter, I facebook about this miraculous encounter and I instagram a pic of Jesus and I at Publix. In John 4 after the Samaritan woman met Jesus at the well, she stopped doing what she came to the well to do. She left her bucket and ran back to the village to tell an ENTIRE village that she found Jesus. Don’t miss this:  Jesus didn’t tell her to run & tell everybody.  SHE WANTED TO.  This begs the question, “Where’s my village?” And begs a follow-up, “am I haphazardly & occasionally sharing Jesus with it? Or am I emphatically & passionately finding every possible way to make this Jesus known?” I hope you join me in asking these. And in the end, I hope we all leave our wells and run to our villages.
