Women's Bible Study Ann2-SSLast week at CBG Women’s Biblestudy, we had a couple Q&A’s we thought would be fun to answer, here. One, was about “God in the ABCs,” and the other was about good bible verses for memorization.

There have been times in my life when I couldn’t muster up a prayer. Yet my heart longed to utter something to God. Out of necessity, I created something I call, “God in the ABCs.” I recite the ABCs, adding a word that describes God to every letter. It does a few things: 1) gives God the worship He deserves 2) takes my mind off the painful moment 3) stretches my vocabulary of God. Here’s an example, “God, you are Awesome (amazing, able), Brilliant (bold, brave), Creative (caring, compassionate), Decisive (determined, driven), Eternal (energizing, evangelical), Freedom (faithful, forever), Giving (gracious, glorious), Holy (hopeful, highest), Indescribable (intelligent, innovative), Joy (Jesus), King of Kings (kind), Lord of Lords (loyal, love), Majestic (masterful, mindful), Noble (near), Omnipotent (open), Patient (perfect), Quiet (quintessential), Real (royal), Safe (still, strong), Trustworthy (timely), Understanding (unlimited), Victorious (valuable, valiant), Willing (the Way), Xcellent, Yahweh, Zealous, amen.”

Here are 3 good verses to put to memory. Stick them to your bathroom mirror on post-it notes; text them to yourself on your smartphone & visit this LINK for more tips. Wah-Lah! Eazy Peazy!
1) And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
2) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
3) Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
