One time, I lost Andy in a Barnes and Noble. It was the longest 5 minutes of his life. He was so visibly shaken and scared when I found him. It may seem apathetic, but I had DJ take this picture because I never wanted to forget what it is like to be lost…and found. Many of us lose our way from wherever we left. We set out from our parent’s home. Maybe we set out after a divorce. Maybe we set out on a new career venture. Maybe we set out on a call to ministry. At some point, in almost all of our lives, at some point, we set out…and lose our way. But as lost as we may feel, and as scary and confusing as it is, God has not lost us. God knows where we left from. He knows where we are headed. And he knows how to help us find our way back. Got God? Then it’s all good. You may be lost, but He hasn’t lost you.
“So Jesus told them this story: ‘If a man has a 100 sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the 99 others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders.'” -Luke 15
