Romans 8:38 says, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.” We can get on each other’s nerves, and then we can want some space with each other. But God wants to be where we are. God never gets sick of us. And you never get on his nerves–such that–He needs some space. As a rebellious teen, I can remember thinking, “But I don’t want God to be where I am, then I can’t do what I want to do!” What foolish talk. Now I look back and I say, “PRAISE GOD, you where there. I’m alive today, I’m healthy today, because YOU were there, God! You were protecting me, you were looking out for me!” It’s only when we are doing things we shouldn’t be doing, that we wish God wasn’t there. But then when we need a miracle, we want Him as close as possible! Thankfully, God doesn’t listen to us. When we invite Jesus into our hearts, we invite his presence into our lives. And NOTHING can separate it. After 37 years of never being separated from Him, I can tell ya, it’s a journey you will never regret.
